Once again the Oscar nominations are whiter than white on rice, on a paper plate in a snow storm, and for categories like best director it’s very male. 2019 was FULL of phenomal work by people of color and women, but nah the Oscars got it wrong AGAIN this year.  Of course every year you’re going to hear movies/ actors/ actresses/ directors  getting snobbed  but this year A LOT of good performances were left out. HOWEVER in excellent Established in 88 fashion we’re highling those who hopefully take home that golden man on Sunday Febrary 9th!

The ICONIC Cynthia Erivo has recievd a nomination for best performance by an actress in a leading role for her work in Harriett.


Netflix’s fav The Irishman is nominated for achievement in cinematography nomineee.


Our fav “Into The Unknown” from FROZEN II is nominated for achievement in music written for motion pictures (Original song – Music and Lyric by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez Achievement).


Golden Globe winner Bong Joon Ho is nominated for  achivement in directing for hims film”Parasite” and if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s such a GOOD black comedy, thriller film. Check it out when you have the chance.
