Tonight at the 2018 Grammy Awards, Childish Gambino and his song “Redbone” took home the award for Best Traditional R&B Performance. The artist was up against The Baylor Project’s “Laugh and Move On,” Anthony Hamilton’s “What I’m Feelin’,” Ledisi’s “All the Way” and Mali Music’s “All the Way.”

Off his acclaimed album, Awaken, My Love!, Gambino showcased his wide-ranging vocal abilities on the slow-burning record ‘Terrified.” And to make it more memorable,  singer JD McCrary RIPPED his riffs! YOU GO BOY!

Kendrick Lamar left the crowd mezmorized during tonight’s powerful opening performance with his song ‘XXX’ featuring the legendary U2. Nothing beats the Dave Chappelle pop up in the middle of the performance to remind us, “that the only thing more frightening than watching a black man be honest in America is being an honest black man in America. Sorry for the interruption.”

Let em know Dave let em know!

Kendrick went home with four Grammys tonight and all of them were well deserved.

Twitter heavily disagreed with the winner of Best New Artist Alessia Cara. Now don’t get it twisted, shorty can blow but she’s been out for quite some time. SZA deserved that win.

Now you all know over here at Established in 88, we are HEAVY Bruno Mars fans and his performance of ‘Finesse’ with Cardi B was ERRRRTHANG! Bruno took home SIX wins tonight including Album of The Year for 24K Magic!
